It was on the verge of winter in the high country around Falls Creek that I photographed this beautiful Snow Gum. Fog and mist were gently wafting, muting the sounds and patterns of the bush around. The Snow Gum stood tall and sturdy, its strong branches reaching high and its roots buried in the mossy rocks at its feet. The scene speaks of ancient mystery, strength and survival.
