I was in awe of the complexity of shape and the subtlety of colour as storm clouds rolled over the sea at Coolum Beach. There atmosphere was charged with ominous foreboding, the beaches were emptied as surfers sought safety against the violence promised by the oncoming storm. The sheer magnificence of our natural world is captured in this image as a reminder of its beauty and its power to transform its own fragile environment.
