Caught the Heron Islander for our transfer from Gladstone to Heron island.
Spent most of the first day doing some bird photography. Very windy with rain at times. Slowly coming to understand the best way to set up the Canon R5 camera for bird photography.

Heading to Heron Island for a week of photography and relaxation. At this a great time of the year to catch the turtle hatchlings in their dash for the water after hatching from their nest in the sand. As well the female turtles are still coming up to lay their eggs. It is also a great place for bird photography!

I recently picked up my new Canon R5 mirrorless camera to replace my trusty Canon 5 DSr that I had used for many years. Still using my Canon EF lenses as I am still very happy with them!
