Sand is a common element in the deserts of Central Australia and on the beaches surrounding our island. Just as the early European explorers looked always to the horizon in search of the prosperity and richness of their dreams, so too do the fragile grasses in this image, taken at Moreton Island, draw us forward in hope and anticipation to a horizon where the clouds give us a tantalising glimpse of promising wonders beyond.
