Two trees, gaunt and leafless, strain upwards against the magnificent backdrop of the iconic and sacred rock that is known as Uluru. To me the trees represent hands reaching up in hope and prayer, pleading for understanding and respect between all Australians, from ancient cultures and recent arrivals.
