Driving west from Camooweal crossing the Queensland/Northern Territory border the road crosses the Barkly Tablelands. The road is straight and the land is flat, treeless and featureless. The road is so straight and the land so flat that at night it is difficult to know when to dim your lights for an oncoming vehicle. This photo was taken one late afternoon in August. The sheer sameness of the landscape allowed the full extent of the rain cloud to be witnessed.
